Many states and hundreds of cities throughout America, have annual Governor's, Mayoral and Community Leadership Prayer Breakfasts. These breakfasts provide opportunities for the leadership in our states to seek reconciliation and unity of spirit, through the power of God, regardless of differences in political party affiliations or religious beliefs. People are finding understanding, confidence and hope for the future through a deepening relationship with Jesus and in discovering the secret of true brotherhood with their fellow men. Civic Leadership Breakfast

President Lincoln's words embody the ideals of unity through a devotion to public service. These breakfasts are modeled after the U.S. Senate and House breakfast groups. Leaders from city governments and the marketplace meet to build deeper friendships and seek guidance on common concerns for civic life. Through discussion and prayer these breakfast groups seek to follow the teaching given in Jeremiah 29:7; "Seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you and pray to the Lord on its behalf, for in its welfare you will have welfare."
