Apply for Scholarships

The scholarship fund intends to make one annual award of $1,200 per academic year, prorated and awarded at the beginning of each academic term (for example, semester or quarter). The number and final value of the scholarships will be determined by the amount contributed to the fund. Recipients may re-apply each year for up to four years, provided they continue to meet the requirements of the award. Additionally, the fund intends to direct awards in the form of student sponsorships, subsidizing event registration and attendance costs to specific annual events, conferences and educational seminars.

Requirements
Recipients must be admitted or enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or graduate program of study in an accredited college or university in the United States. They must maintain good academic standing (2.8 GPA or better) and make progress toward an undergraduate or graduate degree. The Scholarship Review Committee will decide whether applicants fulfill the requirements of the award. The selection committee looks for candidates who value tolerance, compassion and respect for all people in their communities. Criteria for evaluation and award of a scholarship are the student's educational achievements, leadership abilities, character, citizenship, and financial need.

Scholarship Application Process
Eligible applicants may begin the required online portion of the Scholarship application process each year in October by downloading and submitting a Scholarship Application Form. New and returning applicants must create an application record using this form. Applications are due by October 31st.  Once the form is complete and the submission process has been followed, eligible applicants will be notified via email of their status and next steps in the review process. Applicants may also complete the form and mail it to: Leadership Development, c/o F.E.S.
