2009 WSL Forum

The 2009 WSL Forum was held March 5th through 7th in Olympia, Washington. 16 colleges and Universities from across the state were represented this year. The Forum was highlighted by participation in the Governor's Prayer Breakfast, luncheons at the capitol with various legislators, and time with leaders from a broad cross-section of society. The Theme was "Leadership Through the Lens of Jesus." Throughout the weekend, students and leaders alike were challenged to view leadership not as position or place, but rather as a way for God to express himself through us.

2008 WSL Forum

The 2008 Washington Student Leadership Forum was held in Olympia, Washington in conjunction with the Governor's Prayer Breakfast for the second consecutive year.  Dr. John Perkins was the forum keynote speaker.  130 students and young adults from across the state of Washington joined together with 50 leaders to discuss the person and principles of Jesus of Nazareth.  Leaders included business men and women, politicians, teachers, those from the non-profit and higher education sectors, and many more.   The purpose of our time together is not to hold an event, but to build relationships centered in Jesus and to continually invest in...

Washington Weekend

Washington Weekend was held in Leavenworth, Washington on October 26-28th. 60 students attended this year, more than ever before, representing several Washington universities. Our speakers were Doug and Debbie Burleigh from Arlington, Virginia. They challenged us to focus on several key principles of leadership modeled after the person of Jesus of Nazareth. The primary principles we focused on together were loving God, loving our neighbor, believing in the one God has sent, reconciliation, and community together. Dr. John Perkins shares with a group of students at the Governor's Prayer Breakfast It?s been an exciting Spring! The 2007 Washington Student Leadership Forum took place March 1-3 in Olympia. We had over 100 students from across the state join with leaders in business, government, non-profit, and other sectors to focus on the person of Jesus and servant leadership. Trip to Ellensburg and Spokane

A beautiful November day at Gonzaga with our friend Mark. Once again, the fearsome threesome known as Dan, Jeff, and myself (Chris) headed out across the Cascades.  Sadly to say, on this trip there would be no "Cobalting," however there would be some "trailblazing" through potholes and snow covered dirt roads. Our first stop was at the Mountain River Lodge. We toured the facilities and spent some time with Bill, the owner.
